Folders are RealtySlate Docs / year / property address and transaction number, so one transaction is always one folder.

Google Drive Backup for Real Estate Transaction Documents
Every document on a transaction is copied into a Google Drive account your brokerage owns — not only the ones RealtySlate put a signature on. Disclosures, inspection reports, lender letters and addenda are copied the same way an executed contract is, into folders anybody can read without special software.

Setting it up
Connect Google Drive in a few minutes
Every RealtySlate integration is configured from the Connections area by an authorized administrator, and each one can be disconnected from the same place.

Worth knowing before you connect
Limits, direction and cost, stated plainly
The things a brokerage usually finds out later.
The year is the year the deal began, not the year it closed. A property listed in 2026 that closes in January 2027 keeps every document in 2026, which is where accounting expects it.
RealtySlate requests the drive.file scope, which reaches only files this application itself created. The rest of your Drive is invisible to it.
One direction. Deleting a document in RealtySlate does not remove the copy from your Drive.
You can connect Dropbox and OneDrive at the same time. Every document goes to all of them, and nothing is copied twice.
No cost. The storage is your own Google account.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about the Google Drive integration
Does RealtySlate back up documents to Google Drive?
Yes. Every transaction document, including executed signature documents, is copied into a Google Drive account your brokerage owns, filed by year and property.
Can RealtySlate see the rest of my Google Drive?
No. The integration uses Google's drive.file scope, which grants access only to files the application itself created. Everything else in your Drive is invisible to it.
What happens to my documents if I stop using RealtySlate?
They stay in your Google Drive. That is the point of the feature — the files are in an account you control, in ordinary folders, readable without any software from us.
Can I back up to more than one place?
Yes. Google Drive, Dropbox and Microsoft OneDrive can be connected at the same time, and every document is copied into each. RealtySlate records what it placed in each account separately, so nothing is duplicated and disconnecting one leaves the others untouched.
Does it back up documents that were uploaded before I connected?
Yes, once you press "Back up everything already on file". Without that, only documents added after connecting are copied.
