Calendar Subscription Feed for Apple Calendar and Any ICS App

Every agent can generate a private iCalendar link carrying their deadlines, events, follow-ups and onboarding tasks. Any calendar application that can subscribe to a URL will read it, which makes it the option for Apple Calendar, iPhone, and anything else that cannot sign in.

Setting it up

Connect Apple Calendar and other ICS applications in a few minutes

Every RealtySlate integration is configured from the Connections area by an authorized administrator, and each one can be disconnected from the same place.

Steps

1Open Connections, choose Calendar Sync, and press Generate my link.
2Copy the link. It is shown once.
3Add it in your calendar app: Apple Calendar uses File then New Calendar Subscription; on iPhone it is Settings, Calendar, Accounts, Add Account, Other, Add Subscribed Calendar.
4Choose which of the four sources the feed should carry.

Worth knowing before you connect

Limits, direction and cost, stated plainly

The things a brokerage usually finds out later.

The link is a credential. Anyone holding it can read your deadlines without signing in, so it should not go in a shared document.

Generating a new link revokes the old one immediately, which is how a leaked link is dealt with.

Updates are not instant. The calendar application decides how often to re-read the link, and Google in particular is typically several hours and cannot be forced.

Connect Google Calendar or Outlook directly instead if you need updates within a minute and cancellations removed.

The feed stops working if the account is deactivated.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about the Apple Calendar and other ICS applications integration

Does RealtySlate work with Apple Calendar?

Yes, through a private iCalendar subscription link that Apple Calendar and iPhone can subscribe to. Google Calendar and Outlook can also use the link, though connecting them directly gives faster updates.

How often does a subscribed calendar update?

The calendar application decides. Apple Calendar can be set to refresh hourly; Google refreshes external calendars on its own schedule, typically several hours, and it cannot be forced. Direct sync updates within about a minute.

Is the link private?

It is unique to one person and shows only what that person can already see in RealtySlate. It is also a credential in its own right, so treat it like a password and regenerate it if it is exposed.
